Why Do I want to go to College?

The reason I want to go to college is because I want to be a successful in life. I feel that college will take me there. Also because I am going to be the first one in my family to go to graduate from college in the United States. I hope that by going to college I meet new people that help me succeed in life. Not only that but I also hope to help others and to find a career that helps me do so. I want to go to college because others have done it and I want to experience it.

"Honesty is the cornerstone of character. Teh honest man or woman seeks not merely to avoid criminal or illegal acts, but to be scrupulously fair, upright, fearless, in both action and expression. Honesty pays dividends both in dollars and in peace of mind."
B.C Forbes
I think that this means that as long as you are honest it will pay off. Not only wil it pay of money wise ( like in your work) but also within yourself. You will feel good about being honest. There will be no need to think about the bad decisions you have made. Honesty will only bring great things to your life.

Honesty

Honesty
9 of 10

Honesty is always the best policy. Employers need to know that they can trust you with everything from company credit to trade secrets. How can you work at honesty? You demonstrate integrity every day that you do your own homework and resist the temptation to cheat on exams.

What is honesty?

*      Honesty is telling the truth.

*      Honesty is straightforward conduct.

*    Honesty is being sincere, truthful, trustworthy, honorable, fair genuine and loyal with integrity.

You are being honest when you…
Do your own homework

*      Tell a friend the truth

*      Explain the reason you didn’t turn in your homework
Keep your eyes on your own paper

*      Clean up your own room after making a promise

*      Give the cashier the extra money she gave you by mistake

*      Write a report in your own words instead of copying

*      Admit you made the mistake

*      Keep a friends secret

*      Turn in a wallet full of money that you found

CHOOSE THE RIGHT!!!

Year End Reflection

A. What I accomplished this year was, getting straight A's for all of my classes. I also learn many new things in Math class and New Media. In New Media I learn how to use a Prize and how to use the excel spread sheet.
B. I am proud of having helped set up the academic challenge. I am proud of this because it was a fun thing to do for the school.
C.I learn that I can work pretty okay under pressure. I learn that I can get things done better if I give myself time.
D. One of the problems I had this year was the fact that we had to changed teachers. I was used to being thought by Mr. Garcia. I found the whole change of classes a bad idea because, now I had to get used to a new teacher, and that wasted time. Because of this I think we didn't learn as well as we could have. But I manage to learn and this thought me that I need to get used to different ways in which teachers teach.
E. One positive message I learn this year was that even if people put you down and tell you that you cant achieve something, that doesn't mean they are always right. You can achieve whatever you want with perseverance.

“Stop worrying about whether you’re going to win or lose and focus your full attention on what’s happening right this moment.”

Phil Jackson

Reflection I think that what this means is that instead of thinking whether you will do well in something or not you should focus on the thing that you are doing first. Then after you are done you could worry about if you did good or not. Worrying about these kind of things will only make what you are doing more difficult.

Time Management

Time Management
8 of 10

Master the moments and you may be a real pro when it comes to juggling the many demands on your time – classes, homework and activities – with some family help. College gives you an even bigger chance to sharpen your time management skills by doing it all on your own. And that’s a good thing since most jobs require multitasking. You might need to take care if current clients while attracting new ones respond to e-mails while working on a major presentation, or order tomorrow’s produce while planning next week’s menu.

"Truth is the only safe ground to stand upon."
Elizabeth Cany Stanton
Reflection: I think that this mean that saying the truth is the only way you wont get in trouble.
If you say the truth you wont ever have to think about lies. Saying the truth will always bring you good things, and you wont be constantly trying to cover up your lies.
